How can Mazemaster help me choose a career for the future?

Mazemaster is designed as a one-stop-shop for career planning and job search information relevant to youth aged 16-29. There are six modules to take you through the process of choosing and finding meaningful work. In terms of choosing a career, you may want to start with the Self-Assessment module. Through the exercises included in this section, a user (you) may be able to determine what careers are most suitable to them/you based on their/your personal interests, values and skills.

Where can I research occupational and salary information?

In the LMI (Labour Market Information) module of Mazemaster there is an icon (graphic) called Job Futures. By clicking on this icon you will connect to an online publication that contains information about different types of jobs/occupations, salaries, educational requirements and outlooks for the future (growing or declining demand).

I'm thinking about starting my own business, but I don't know enough about what it takes to get started. Where can I find this information?

The Self-Employment module of Mazemaster contains a wealth of information about the steps involved in starting a business. There you will find out about what you need to consider when starting a business of your own. You can even take a quiz to find out if you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

I need to develop a resume. Can Mazemaster help me?

Mazemaster's Job Search Techniques section contains everything you need to develop a cover letter, resume and prepare for your interview. It also contains samples of different types of resume formats and provides you with a template to develop your very own draft. After completing your resume, you will be able to save and print copies for future use.

I'm looking for a job. How can Mazemaster help me find one?

In the job postings section of Mazemaster you will find many links to various employment sites where jobs are posted. Also, check out Mazemaster's Job Bank where you can post your resume for free, check out available jobs as well as have your resume matched to suitable jobs.
